Eve

Prompt from Writer's Island: beguile
Prompt from Sunday Scribblings: story
Based on the Biblical account of the first transgression of Divine law (Genesis 3).

blinded by desire
she took what was forbidden
ignored boundaries

she savored its taste
lustily ate every bite
shared with another

guilt followed the crime
law had been violated
judgment would come soon

cast out of Eden
sentenced to life with sorrow
blinded by desires

  2. Luckily a few of the later Bible stories show man just as guilty as woman, to even it up as it were.

  5. I loved how you made this circular by ending with the starting line. This was truly a well-known story well-told! ☼
