Soaring Heights

Prompt from Writer's Island: soar

She stood on the top
of the Blue Ridge mountains,
her gaze taking in distant
cities and roadways.
Below her, an eagle
stretched its wings and
soared forth on the breeze.

  1. I just had a friend that wrote about the Blue Ridge mountains but not part of this group. A beautiful poem, Elizabeth.

  7. An evocative image; almost a vignette. Simple yet powerful. Nice.
