post-workout

Prompt from Poetic Asides: write a cascade poem (each line in the first stanza is the final line in each stanza afterward)

Inspired by a satisfying cardio/toning workout session with EA Sports Active

heart rate soars
sweat-soaked skin
endorphin rush

lungs complain
breathing accelerates
heart rate soars

energy kindled
calories burning
sweat-soaked skin

activity climaxes
muscle fatigue
endorphin rush

  4. I'm with Victoria, out of breath and no endorphin rush. Poem is fun to read and I like the way the cascade adds to the immediacy.
